Peppermint, the ideal remedy to reduce hair

Today I bring great news for all those women who have problems with hair. And is that researchers at the University Turkey Suleyman Demirel, say in an article published in the journal Phytotherapy Research that daily consumption of 2-5 cups of spearmint tea, Mentha spicata Labiatae, significantly decreases the levels of testosterone in women, the male hormone that gives us sexual desire, but at high levels carries the appearance of hair in facial areas, shoulders, belly and breasts.

According to the study, the classic infusion allows combat hirsutism, excessive hair growth in women with the same efficiency as more expensive treatments and effects side as contraceptive drugs or inhibitors of aldosterone (a hormone secreted by the adrenal gland). How to get it?

Hirsutism

Hirsutism growth is characterized by excessive hair on face, breasts or pubic, and is thought to affect 5% of the female population. It is characteristic of the end of the menopause, when an increase in androgen production by the ovaries or adrenal glands.

Research

According to data from research, taking infusions of mint regularly, it is possible that women maintain balanced levels of androgens and avoid consequences as annoying as the excessive growth of hair.

However, research casts some doubt on the mechanism of action of the infusion, since it is unclear whether peppermint acts on androgens or directly on the hair.

Peppermint

Peppermint Peppermint is a hybrid, a blend of peppermint, which has a violet hue, and white mint, a more uniform green. Not usually exceed a foot tall and its leaves, intense aroma, has an elongated shape with serrated edges. Before this finding Turkish infusions of this plant were highly valued in the slow digestion, inflammation of the liver and gallbladder, as well as used as a reliever of muscle cramps.
